LexGo’s primary mission is to create instant conversations with presence, and increase connection between people.
Most virtual meeting tools fail the "instant conversation" test. If you have to type in a meeting number, recall a meeting password or download additional software, that's not instant. That's friction.
Most virtual meeting tools fail the "increase connection" test as well. For instance, does seeing the "Waiting for host to arrive..." message make you feel more connected to the people you're waiting for? We didn't think so. That's just one of many examples that inspired us to redesign the entire digital workplace.
Don't expect today's market leaders to improve the customer experience any time soon. The rest of the industry is moving toward "more" — more features, more integrations, more tools, more complexity. More, more, more.
The result? Your workflow has to adapt to their tools. They give you more features, but the don't fix the core of what's wrong with their user experience.
To make matters worse, your data is now in the hands of big companies. Where is your data zooming off to, anyway?
LexGo takes a very different stand. A digital workplace shouldn’t require an instruction manual, or thousands of checkboxes and switches to configure. It shouldn't drown people in options and features most will never touch.
Below, you'll read more about some of the design decisions we made creating LexGo.
1. Conversations, Not Meetings
This is not semantics. There is a difference, and knowing it will improve your company's culture and operations. We will teach you the difference during your free trial.
2. Employee Privacy is a Feature
LexGo isn't designed to monitor employees or record their conversations. We don't record any conversations, we don't do people time tracking, and we don't offer monitoring of any employees. All data is anonymized and never sold to third parties.
3. Single-Screen Experience
We weren't joking about simplicity. When you're in LexGo, it's just one screen. (That's at least seven screens fewer than what your teams are used to.)
Questions We Get Frequently
Why square videos?
Square videos have distinct advantages over rectangular videos:
- It focuses on faces
- You can fit more people on one screen, at larger size
- It removes space/detail on the sides that's usually just visual noise
- It enhances privacy by reducing what others can see
- Other design-philosophy reasons (we won't share publicly)
Why can’t I use virtual backgrounds?
LexGo does not directly offer that feature, but you can buy hardware or software solutions that'll work fine with LexGo. (Since we use square backgrounds, please take that into account when designing your background.)
Philosophically, we don't feel virtual backgrounds contribute to better connections with others. To have a genuine conversation, maybe it's better to share a genuine background. Just food for thought.
